Flawless ^^

That was in the Guardian this evening:

"Usually to be found in the leader column, his lordship was originally based on Lord Beaverbrook, the owner of the Daily Express, a man whose piety and sanctimoniousness of utterance was matched only by the venality and hypocrisy of his actions."

I love it. I just love every single word of it :D

The clot of the week

Coleen Rooney, wife of footballer Wayne Rooney (who's our missing link between the apes and the humans) said she didn't want to go to the World Cup in South Africa next June because of "the intense heat" the could be too much for the baby.

Coleen, darling, South Africa is in the South hemisphere, it's BLOODY WINTER over there in JUNE, you tit wit!

Goats will be goats

From the Guardian, today, Marina Hyde is commenting on the big national issue of John Terry being a fucking skanky compulsively-cheating scumbag. But after all he captains Chelsea and England so what else is new?

"As Pat Nevin said in Newsnight's round-table discussion of the matter – Newsnight, if you please! – international football is different from club football, and in the former there should be plenty of leaders on the field. "We've got this extreme thing about the [England] captaincy," he observed. "In actual fact it's not as important as people are suggesting." Well quite. Otherwise we wouldn't have given it to David Beckham, whose Agincourt moment was rallying his England team‑mates not to speak to the media in the wake of beating Poland in 2004, thus depriving the world of the "lads did really well" platitudes which are the armband‑holder's stock-in-trade. (Forget his "heroism" in the fabled Greece qualifier: as Nevin stressed, you don't need an armband to lead by example on the pitch.)"

LMAO!! Marina, I love you!

To the great speech, I shall be grateful

Ireland has just voted a law punishing the crime of blasphemy that states that one can say anything that would target religion in any of its form. Hello again, the Inquisition!

Atheist Ireland (my new best friends) delibrately published blasphemeous quotes from famous people. Here's my favourite so far:

Richard Dawkins:

"The God of the Old Testament is arguably the most unpleasant character in all fiction: jealous and proud of it; a petty, unjust, unforgiving control freak; a vindictive, bloodthirsty ethnic cleanser; a misogynistic, homophobic, racist, infanticidal, genocidal, filicidal, pestilential, megalomaniacal, sadomasochistic, capriciously malevolent bully."

Eventually, I'll do something about the God of Christians, what a lovely person he is indeed just quoting what's been said, not in the Bible, but arround us everyday.

Méditons

La connerie du jour.

Pub pour les paris sur Sky Sport entre deux sets alors que je regardais le tennis (en anglais dans le texte):

"50% des matchs sont gagnés par celui qui remporte le premier set"...

Interessant comme information...
