When Beyoncé had her extended single Get me bodied viedoclip on tely. I liked it the second I saw it: the song, the choregraphy, the display, the atmosphere. But I couldn’t help feeling that something was strangely familiar. I saw that some of that dancing before, the stage too…
And two weeks ago, as I came down from upstairs to look for something, a movie was on tely. Sweet Charity with Shirley Maclaine back from 1969. And I looked right when The Aloof, a musical part began. And that was it.
My God! Who would’ve thought a second that Beyoncé could take some inspiration from a 1969 movie based on a Broadway play, itself based on a Fellini screenplay: The Nights of Cabiria.
